Parque Nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido

The Ordesa National Park is, without a doubt, one of the most spectacular parks you can visit.
Located in the very heart of the Pyrenees and declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco.

If you are determined to visit it in its entirety, you will have to cover some 89,000 hectares. As well as offering undeniable tourist, ecological and environmental attractions, remember that this is an area inhabited by mountain people with a proverbial human quality, attached to traditions and defenders of a way of life that will not leave you indifferent.
Torla, Broto and Ainsa, for example, are spectacular little villages that dot the natural grandeur of their surroundings with their close, everyday, enveloping lives. The tourist character of these towns varies depending on the case, so you can enjoy services of the highest level or avoid them if you prefer to live in the traditional Pyrenean style. Fanlo, Tella-Sin, Puértolas and Bielsa are other highly recommended towns on your journey through the area.
What can we find in Ordesa and Monte Perdido?
As soon as you set foot in Ordea and its surroundings, you will feel part of an incomparable sensory spectacle. You will soon understand why more than 650,000 visitors a year flock to this magnificent natural area in Aragon.
One of the attractions that attracts a multitude of mountain enthusiasts is the presence of prodigious peaks in the popular Ordesa Valley. The Monte Perdido massif crowns it and becomes the epicentre of a unique structure formed by the so-called Tres Sorores or Treserols:
Marboré, 3251 m.
Monte Perdido, 3348 m.
Añisclo, 3257.
If you feel like exploring trails full of emotions, beauty and attractive sensations, these corners of the Pyrenees offer a wide variety of them. From family routes, simple and pleasant, such as the Soaso route, which culminates in the impressive Cola de Caballo, to accessible routes such as the Pradera de Ordesa and high mountain sections, where the most experienced hikers will find difficulties to suit them. This is the case of the route that starts at the Góriz refuge, located at the foot of the three aforementioned three-thousand-metre peaks. Of course, these scenarios are dotted with marvellous viewpoints and walks, such as the Faja de las Flores or the Faja Pelaí. We encourage you to visit them!
Between these mountain giants stretch the valleys of Ordesa, Añisclo, Escuaín and Pineta, between which flow the Arazas, Bellós, Yaga and Cinca rivers. The geological singularity and climate of the area have created a high altitude landscape, whose steep slopes frame human and animal life amidst dazzling contrasts.
This confluence of four valleys and a central mountain massif is the incomparable habitat of admirable animal species, some of which are indigenous and exclusive. The white-coloured ptarmigan, the endemic Pyrenean frog and the imposing bearded vulture, whose imperial appearance never goes unnoticed when it flies overhead, will accompany you on your adventure.
Among the existing emblematic attractions, we also mention the Gap of Roland, considered the gateway to the French Pyrenees National Park, which is located at an altitude of 2,800 metres. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy snow, unique lakes, glaciers, idyllic waterfalls that celebrate life between rocky walls and authentic high-altitude deserts. You can also explore the cosy beech and fir forests that dot this unforgettable area.
In Ordesa you can learn a great deal about nature, including your own. You will reach a state of regenerative and memorable environmental fusion, you will be mentally and physically oxygenated and you will enjoy the gastronomy, care and tourist services that are one hundred percent satisfactory. In return, all you have to do is act responsibly to conserve the environment and ensure your safety and that of everyone else.
In short, the Ordesa National Park is a prodigious setting that you should not miss. It will welcome you with open arms all year round and will allow you to recover oxygen, enthusiasm, energy and the closest and most vivid contact with the most powerful nature.
The Ordesa National Park is located in the Pyrenees of Huesca, entirely in the Sobrarbe region, and is the second oldest national park on the peninsula, having been declared a national park on 16th August 1918 under the name of Ordesa Valley.

The Bujaruelo valley, with a length of 20 km, from the bridge of Los Navarros to the pass of Los Mulos, is an area that has earned all the titles to which it can aspire: it is a Peripheral Protection Area of the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park, a Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA), a Site of Community Interest (SCI) and is part of the "Ordesa-Vignemale" Biosphere Reserve.
The Bujaruelo Valley and the Ara River are neighbours of the Ordesa Valley. HIKING:
These are very simple excursions with hardly any gradient around Broto, Torla and in the National Park, ideal for families or school groups. Excursions that will take us without technical difficulties to places where we will be able to contemplate alpine landscapes, idyllic forests, abandoned villages and mountain animals.
HIGH MOUNTAIN IN THE PYRENEES
Excursions between 2000 M and 3000 M.
The Pyrenees is one of the European mountain ranges that offers the greatest variety of possibilities for mountaineering and hiking.
Routes between 2000 and 3000m of altitude and with practically no signposting. There are routes of varying technical difficulty, routes in which it is only necessary to walk or others in which we can find passages where it is necessary to use the rope, or the ice axe and crampons.
ASCENSIONS
Our objective in this modality is to reach the highest point, that is to say: to reach the summit. But this is only a small part of one of the most complete activities. Sometimes we will have to turn back, due to unforeseen events such as a sudden change in the weather, but they will certainly not overshadow the pleasant sensation of trying to climb to the top.
There is the possibility of the "normal route", which is usually the most popular because it is easier than the others. A "classic route" can often be a nice alternative to other routes of ascent, which makes for a pleasant ascent with moderate difficulties.
Who has never heard of Monte Perdido? We know very well where it is, to climb the famous "spittoon" to its summit of 3355 mts with a guide and discover the beautiful massif that surrounds us is breathtaking. The more experienced climbers can choose between the Staircase route or the Normal route to the Col, a totally different summit experience.
The Vignemale, at 3299m, has many beautiful peaks over 3000m.
The Moskowa or the Ossoue glacier are beautiful itineraries to this beautiful mountain. The former can be done in a day. The Ossoue is best done in two days.
Another of the big ones is the Aneto with its 3404 mts is the roof of the Pyrenees. Its ascent is Alpine in character, crossing ridges and glaciers. Afternoon ascent to Ref. and the next day attack to the summit with a total height difference of 1500 mts.
